Former Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro is stepping into a new government role, and now, rumors are swirling that Alina Habba, one of Donald Trump’s former attorneys, could take her place on Fox News’ top-rated show, The Five.
According to The Daily Mail, a White House insider revealed that Habba — who was recently appointed interim U.S. Attorney for New Jersey — is being considered as a potential replacement for Pirro on The Five. The report claims that Habba is weighing whether to accept the high-profile media job and skip the Senate confirmation process needed to make her current legal role permanent.
However, a Fox News spokesperson told The Daily Mail that nothing is official yet.
“Discussions about a permanent replacement have not even started, so her name can’t be part of the mix,” a network source said.
For now, a rotation of Fox News personalities will fill Pirro’s seat on The Five until a full-time co-host is selected.
Still, insiders say Habba’s sharp legal background and bold on-air demeanor make her a strong contender to replace Pirro, who became known for her fiery commentary.
“There aren’t many people who can fill a Jeanine personality void. Alina’s one,” a White House source said.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, President Trump made a major announcement: Judge Jeanine Pirro has been appointed interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia.
“Jeanine is incredibly well qualified for this position and is considered one of the top district attorneys in the history of New York,” the president wrote on Truth Social. “She is in a class by herself. Congratulations Jeanine!”
Pirro’s move marks a significant shift—from prime-time punditry to a high-stakes legal role in the nation’s capital. And if Alina Habba does end up on The Five, it could signal yet another deepening of ties between Fox News and Trump’s inner circle.
