Brownsville, Texas — A massive eagle with an incredible 10-foot wingspan has been captured near the U.S.-Mexico border, leaving both locals and wildlife experts stunned.
The enormous bird was first spotted by hikers, who were shocked by its size and powerful flight. Wildlife officials were quickly alerted, and after several days of careful tracking, the eagle was safely captured and moved to a conservation center in Brownsville.
Now under close observation, the bird is being studied by scientists trying to determine whether it’s an unusually large version of a known species—like a bald or golden eagle—or something entirely new. Researchers are looking into everything from its diet to its genetics in hopes of unlocking the mystery behind this incredible creature.
