Bruce Willis may be out of the spotlight due to his ongoing battle with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), but fans were delighted to catch a rare glimpse of the beloved actor thanks to a touching update from his daughter, Scout Willis.
As the year winds down, Scout, 33, took to Instagram to share a photo dump highlighting special moments from December. Among the images was a tender video of her hugging her father, a clip that immediately melted hearts across social media. Though Bruce lives in Los Angeles, he reportedly spends plenty of time at the family’s peaceful second home in Idaho.
Scout, a musician and actress, is one of three daughters Bruce shares with ex-wife Demi Moore—along with Rumer, 35, and Tallulah, 30. He also has two younger daughters, Mabel Ray, 12, and Evelyn Penn, 10, with wife Emma Heming Willis, whom he married in 2009.
The Instagram post opened with a selfie of Scout in a fringed suede jacket and a baseball cap labeled “actor,” followed by photos of family life: Demi Moore cuddling granddaughter Louetta (Rumer’s baby), Tallulah lounging beside them, and Scout knitting and hanging out with friends.
“Some December, and a formal announcement that I’m an actor now fyi,” Scout captioned the post. Fans quickly flooded the comments with love and support, with one writing, “Your whole family is so wholesome—I’m a fan of every one of you now.” Others called the pictures “golden” and praised “The Dad hug” with tearful emojis.
The Willis family first went public about Bruce’s health struggles in 2022, revealing he was initially diagnosed with aphasia—a symptom of frontotemporal dementia, which was later confirmed.
During a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Demi opened up about Bruce’s current condition while promoting her new film The Substance. “Given the circumstances, he is in a stable place,” she said. “What I tell my children is to meet them where they are.”
Despite the challenges, the Willis family continues to show strength and unity—supporting each other through every stage of Bruce’s journey.
