What began as a typical rainy afternoon in a park in Gurgaon, India, turned into a terrifying ordeal.
Caught in a sudden downpour, four men took shelter under a large tree to stay dry. But in an instant, disaster struck. A blinding flash lit up the sky, followed by a thunderous boom—lightning had hit the tree, and all four men collapsed to the ground.
“I heard a loud explosion, and when I turned around, they were just lying there,” said Rakesh, a jogger who witnessed the strike. “It felt like the sky blew up.”
Panic spread as bystanders rushed to help. Emergency services were called, and paramedics arrived within minutes. The men were taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors say they’re now in stable condition and expected to recover.
