My wife and I were driving home when we hit a huge traffic jam. People were stepping out of their cars, confused. I got out to see what was going on — and couldn’t believe my eyes.
The road was filled with bears. Big ones, small ones, black and brown — just sitting or lying calmly on the asphalt. They didn’t seem scared or aggressive, just… still. It was surreal.
Later, we found out we had witnessed something extraordinary: a rare bear gathering in Yellowstone.
Every year, as summer fades, bears prepare for hibernation — foraging, roaming, and sometimes gathering in groups. Some say it’s due to climate changes or food scarcity. Others believe the bears are simply reclaiming their space.
Whatever the reason, it was humbling. For a moment, we weren’t stuck in traffic — we were part of nature’s rhythm.
