Tammy Slaton, star of 1000-lb Sisters, is wowing fans with her dramatic weight loss transformation. Once weighing over 725 pounds and needing oxygen and a wheelchair, Tammy has now lost an incredible 440 pounds and proudly posed in a swimsuit beside her friend Haley Michelle, who shared the photo with the caption: “Proud of you.”
Fans flooded social media with praise, calling her journey “incredible” and “inspiring.” One wrote, “Tammy looks so good,” while another said, “You made it when so many wrote you off. Congrats girl!”
Tammy opened up to People magazine about the huge impact small victories have had — walking unassisted, riding in a car without a seatbelt extender, and no longer needing oxygen at night. “What seems minor to some people is giant for me,” she shared.
After undergoing gastric band surgery in 2022, Tammy continues to rebuild her life, even expressing a desire to learn how to drive someday — though she admits anxiety makes it tough right now.
Her journey hasn’t been without heartbreak. Last year, Tammy lost her husband, Caleb Willingham, whom she met in rehab. They married in late 2022 but separated months later before his death from natural causes.
Despite the ups and downs, Tammy remains strong, using social media to share updates and motivate others. Her transformation is not just physical — it’s a powerful reminder of resilience, hope, and the strength it takes to start over.
