Keanu Reeves made his professional auto racing debut at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday—and while he did crash, he still crossed the finish line.
The 60-year-old actor spun out into the grass during the race’s final stretch but avoided hitting anything and rejoined the track. Despite the mishap, Reeves finished 25th out of 35 cars, after qualifying 31st and briefly climbing to 21st place.
Reeves raced in the Toyota GR Cup, part of the Indy 8 Hour weekend, driving the No. 92 BRZRKR car, which promotes his graphic novel The Book of Elsewhere. He’s also set to race again on Sunday.
This isn’t Reeves’ first time behind the wheel—he won the celebrity race at the 2009 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.
