Nearly 20 years after testifying against his mother, AJ Hutto is speaking out. At just 7 years old, AJ told a Florida courtroom that he saw his mom, Amanda Lewis, drown his sister Adrianna in their backyard pool. His chilling testimony—and a drawing—helped convict her of first-degree murder and child abuse in 2008. She’s now serving life in prison.
Now 24, AJ stands by every word. “She’s 100% guilty,” he told The Daily Mail. He remembers his mother getting angry after Adrianna spilled cleaning spray, then holding her underwater. An autopsy found bruises on Adrianna’s face that supported his account.
Though some questioned whether AJ had been influenced, he says he simply told the truth: “I just said what I saw.”
Today, AJ is a firefighter, married, and has no contact with Lewis. He describes their home as abusive and filled with fear.
Lewis still claims Adrianna’s death was accidental and is appealing her conviction. But AJ is unwavering: “I know what I saw. I lived it.”
