Couple with dwarfism have three children against all odds

It seems to be human nature to ask personal questions—especially when it comes to new parents. For Charli Worgan and her husband Cullen, both of whom have different forms of dwarfism, those questions have often turned into criticism.

The Australian couple has faced judgment for deciding to have children at all. But Charli, who’s been open about their parenting journey on Instagram, is using their story to challenge that negativity.

Each of their pregnancies carried complex risks. There was a possibility their children could inherit both forms of dwarfism—a fatal combination. With their third pregnancy, Charli underwent painful and risky genetic testing early on. “While others were announcing pregnancies at 12 weeks, I was undergoing a needle-through-the-abdomen procedure with a 2% risk of miscarriage,” she shared.

Their daughters, Tully and Tilba, both have dwarfism and are thriving. In February, their third child, Rip, was born healthy—another joyful addition to their growing family.

“I’ve been criticized for having babies despite the odds,” Charli wrote. “But this decision isn’t simple. It’s about love, hope, and being kind.”

Now a proud mom of three, Charli says motherhood isn’t about doing things the “right” way—it’s about doing it with love.

This family of five is thriving, despite the doubts—and they wouldn’t have it any other way.
