Country music legend Alan Jackson, 66, has officially stepped away from touring, citing ongoing health challenges. The singer behind classics like “Chattahoochee” played his final tour stop on May 17, 2025, in Milwaukee, as part of his “Last Call: One More for the Road Tour.”
While this marks the end of his time on the road, Jackson shared with fans that he’s planning one final farewell concert in Nashville next summer — a fitting tribute in the city where his career first took off.
Jackson’s decision follows his public battle with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a hereditary neurological condition that affects muscle control and balance. Though diagnosed back in 2011, the Country Music Hall of Famer only recently opened up about how the condition has impacted his ability to perform.
Even as he retires from touring, Jackson isn’t putting away his guitar just yet. He plans to keep writing and recording new music, with hopes of releasing fresh material in the future. Looking back on four decades in the spotlight, Jackson expressed heartfelt thanks to his loyal fans for their support through the years.
His final Nashville show is expected to be an emotional celebration of a remarkable career — and a proper goodbye to one of country music’s most beloved voices.
