Lorrie Morgan Mourns Death Of Her Beloved Husband, Randy White

Country music icon Lorrie Morgan is grieving the heartbreaking loss of her husband of nearly 15 years, Randy White, who passed away early Sunday morning, June 1, at the age of 72.

Randy White, born on May 15, 1953, was known not just as Lorrie’s loving husband but as a devoted father and successful business owner. A graduate of Volunteer State Community College, Randy built a thriving landscaping company and raised four children of his own. After marrying Lorrie in a beachside ceremony in September 2010, the couple blended their families and created a life filled with love and cherished memories.

In April 2024, Lorrie revealed that Randy had been diagnosed with mouth cancer. A year later, in April 2025, she canceled multiple appearances when Randy was hospitalized in Tennessee. Longtime friend and fellow country artist Pam Tillis stepped in for Lorrie during a tour with Alabama.

Randy’s passing was confirmed by Lorrie’s manager and close friend, Tony Conway, who released a heartfelt statement on her behalf:

“Randy has been my partner and my rock for 17 years. Our big, wonderful family and I are devastated at the loss of this truly kind and incredible man. I was blessed by his love. Ran-Ran, I will love and miss you forever.”

Lorrie also shared the same statement on her official Facebook page, along with a touching photo of her and Randy together at the Grand Ole Opry.

Her son, Jesse Keith Whitley, who lost his father—country legend Keith Whitley—at just under two years old, also paid tribute to Randy, who became a significant figure in his life during his 20s.

“The recent years of my life all the way back to when I was 22–23 years old, this great man has been here and loved my mom, and also me and my sister as if we were his own,” Jesse wrote.

Jesse shared stories that reflected Randy’s gentle and giving nature—how he offered late-night rides without complaint, how he picked Jesse up from jail with laughter instead of judgment, and how he served as a caring grandfather to Jesse’s children.

“He showed me love and showed me a relationship with Jesus… He was the most gentle soul to ever grace our family,” Jesse said, adding, “We will miss you always and forever and our hearts are shattered in losing you. But you have fought one helluva fight, RanMan.”

As fans, friends, and family pour in their condolences, it’s clear that Randy White’s legacy will live on in the love he shared and the lives he touched. Our thoughts are with Lorrie, Jesse, and everyone who loved Randy during this difficult time.

May he rest in peace.
