Travis Kelce is sounding off. 🗣️ The Chiefs’ star tight end knows what it’s like to be Shedeur Sanders during the NFL draft, sliding down the board due to alleged character concerns. Kelce ripped anonymous reports bashing Sanders in a profanity-laced tirade.

Travis Kelce isn’t holding back when it comes to the backlash surrounding Shedeur Sanders’ unexpected fall in the NFL Draft — and he’s making it clear that the anonymous critics need to show their faces.

While Kelce slipped to the third round during his own draft journey, Sanders’ tumble to the fifth round — picked 144th overall by the Cleveland Browns — has sparked debate all week. Once projected as a potential top-5 pick, Sanders fell dramatically, reportedly due to concerns over his attitude and how he handled team interviews.

Kelce blasted the anonymous sources behind the criticism on this week’s New Heights podcast, calling them out in unfiltered fashion.

“Whoever the f–king anonymous person is saying this s–t should come out and say it,” Kelce said. “If you’re going to leak that kind of stuff, own it. Don’t hide behind ‘anonymous.’ That’s so f–king lame. It just feels like there’s no truth to it.”

Shedeur’s draft drop became one of the biggest stories of the weekend, leaving fans and analysts questioning whether it was about personality, performance, or a mix of both. Some believed it was his demeanor. Others questioned if teams simply didn’t think the Colorado quarterback was as good as advertised.

Kelce isn’t buying it.

“From what I saw on tape, Shedeur looked like he should’ve been drafted way higher,” he said. “He seems like a dedicated, driven player from a football family. He and his dad basically reshaped college football the past few years. If teams passed because they didn’t want to ‘deal with that,’ then Shedeur just got a fresh start — and I could definitely see him becoming Cleveland’s starting quarterback someday.”

Jason Kelce, Travis’ brother and co-host, echoed the sentiment, pointing out the inconsistency in how the NFL evaluates character — especially when elite talent is involved.

“Let’s be honest,” Jason said. “If teams thought Shedeur was a true first-round talent, they would’ve picked him. The NFL drafts players with real red flags — legal trouble, off-field drama — if they think the guy can win games. If Shedeur dropped that far, it’s because teams didn’t think the upside justified the pick. But teams get it wrong all the time.”

Despite the fall, both Kelce brothers — proud Ohio natives — are fired up about Sanders landing in Cleveland.

“I love this for Cleveland. I really do,” Travis said. “They’re getting a swag champ, someone who works hard and has something to prove now. That chip on his shoulder is real.”

Jason added, “I’m rooting for him. Imagine the story — Shedeur balls out, leads them to the playoffs, signs a big contract, and brings his whole crew with him. It would be the ultimate f–k you to everyone who doubted him.”
