1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton unveils huge transformation after skin removal surgery

Tammy Slaton, star of 1000-lb Sisters, first rose to fame with her sister Amy in 2020, but behind the scenes, her journey has been one of courage, transformation, and heartbreak.

After years of battling obesity and food addiction, Tammy has lost over 300 pounds — even walking on her own and breathing without an oxygen tube for the first time. In January, she underwent a major 8-hour surgery to remove 15 pounds of excess skin from her chin, arms, and stomach.

“I worked really hard for this,” said the 38-year-old, who was terrified the night before surgery. “I was more nervous than I was before my weight loss surgery. They were actually cutting my whole belly!”

Her siblings were moved to tears when they saw her transformation. Tammy joked about the changes: “It feels so weird not having the b**l sack hanging off my face… I look down and there’s nothing there in my lap now.”

Beyond the physical changes, her journey has been deeply emotional. From 717 lbs down to 534, she celebrated her goal weight on the show: “I proved everybody wrong… I finally got my told-you-so moment.”

Tragedy struck in 2023 when Tammy lost her husband, Caleb Willingham, just seven months after their wedding. He died in an Ohio rehab center, and Tammy learned the news via a heartbreaking text. “I was sitting in the fetal position,” she shared. She now wears a ring and necklace containing his ashes.

But Tammy is finding joy again. In Season 7, she revealed she’s dating a woman — her first relationship since Caleb’s passing. “I haven’t told my family yet,” she admitted. “They always got something to say. I think they got more opinions than the world has a***oles.”

Tammy Slaton’s story is one of survival, healing, and hope — and she’s still writing the next chapter.
