Amanda Foster, a mother from Kentucky, believes she witnessed a divine sign during a recent ultrasound of her unborn baby boy. At 32 weeks pregnant, Amanda spotted what looked like a large hand gently touching her baby’s head—and she calls it “the hand of God.”
Throughout her pregnancy, Amanda had been praying for protection after doctors discovered a serious heart issue in the baby early on. Miraculously, the problem disappeared by the next appointment.
“We prayed and prayed,” she wrote on Facebook. “When we followed up with a specialist, it was gone.”
Amanda’s journey to motherhood has been filled with pain and faith. At 17, she lost her first son to Potter’s syndrome, a fatal condition. The loss led to years of anger and resentment toward God, especially after being told she might never have a healthy baby boy.
But everything changed when she gave her life to Christ in 2021. Since then, she’s had two healthy daughters and a son, who’s now almost three. Her current pregnancy hasn’t been easy—but the mysterious hand in the ultrasound reminded her she’s not alone.
Her daughter Bailey was the first to notice the image. “Thinking about it brought me to tears,” Amanda said. “I’m just so thankful for all that God has done.”
Online, many are calling the ultrasound a miracle—and a powerful symbol of hope and faith.
