A country music baby is born as Lauren Alaina honors both her newborn and her late father

Lauren Alaina and Cam Arnold Welcome Baby Girl, Beni Doll Arnold

Country music star Lauren Alaina and her husband Cam Arnold have officially joined the parenting club! The couple, who tied the knot in February 2024, just welcomed their first child — a baby girl named Beni Doll Arnold.

From “I Do” to Baby Joy

Almost a year after saying “I do,” Lauren and Cam surprised fans with some exciting baby news. The announcement came with a sweet twist at the end of Lauren’s music video for “Those Kind of Women,” where she showed off a baby bump (with a little help from a prosthetic belly) and dedicated the video to “my Momma and our sweet Baby Arnold coming summer 2025.”

Just a week later, the couple revealed the baby’s gender in a heartwarming black-and-white video, where they used their pets’ painted paws to create a keepsake poster. The clip turned to color at the end, revealing they were expecting a baby girl.

A Country-Chic Baby Shower

In late February, Lauren celebrated her upcoming arrival with a cowgirl-themed baby shower full of Southern charm. The event featured cowboy hats, boots, Western-inspired cookies, and a gathering of close friends and fellow country stars, including Lainey Wilson and RaeLynn.

June 11: Baby Beni Makes Her Debut

On Wednesday, June 11, Lauren and Cam announced the birth of baby Beni with a touching Instagram post.

“The right words are hard to find to describe how parts of my heart that I didn’t even know existed were unlocked at 8:44 a.m. when they laid you on my belly for the first time. I will never be the same,” Lauren wrote, alongside sweet first photos of their new family of three.

A Song from Mom: “Heaven Sent”

To celebrate Beni’s arrival, Lauren released a brand-new song titled “Heaven Sent,” written especially for her daughter. The track holds deep emotional meaning, as Lauren and Cam discovered they were expecting shortly after Lauren’s father, JJ Suddeth, passed away in July 2024.

“She came just before Father’s Day. My first without my own father,” Lauren shared. “A day that will forever be hard to me, but I now have a new and perfect reason to celebrate it. Beni’s daddy. My sweet and steady husband.

Beni truly is a gift from God that my old man sitting up there in Heaven Sent.”

Looking Ahead to Life as a Family of Three

Before Beni was born, Lauren opened up to PEOPLE about how excited she was to see Cam step into the role of father.

“My love for him grew that day of getting married, and then finding out we were having a baby together,” she said. “Walking through this experience with him has been unbelievable… He’s a big nurturer. That’s one of the reasons I was so excited to marry him — to parent with him.”
