Couple with dwarfism have children against all the odds

Charli Worgan and her husband Cullen, a couple from Sydney, Australia, both live with different forms of dwarfism. But instead of being asked when they would have children, they were often asked why—a question rooted in misunderstanding and judgment.

Despite medical risks and public scrutiny, Charli and Cullen followed their hearts. Today, they’re proud parents to three beautiful children.

Because of their genetic conditions, each pregnancy carried serious risks. Their children could inherit one form of dwarfism, be born of average height, or—if they inherited both types—face a fatal outcome. During her third pregnancy, Charli underwent a painful test called chorionic villus sampling (CVS) to learn more about the baby’s condition.

Charli has been candid about her journey on Instagram, where she’s gained a following of over 300,000 people. While she’s faced criticism for her choices, she continues to advocate for compassion, inclusivity, and informed decision-making.

In early 2021, her son Rip was born healthy, joining big sisters Tilba and Tully. Through it all, Charli has shown that being a mom—regardless of physical differences—is about love, resilience, and showing up every single day.

Her story continues to inspire others and reminds us all that every family deserves respect and the right to define their own path.
