Once cruelly nicknamed “wolf girl,” Supatra “Natty” Sasuphan was born with Ambras syndrome, a rare condition that causes excessive hair growth across her body. At birth, doctors in Thailand were stunned—Natty’s thick hair even delayed her release from the hospital as they feared her parents might abandon her. But her mother responded firmly: “We’re lucky she was born into our family.”
Growing up wasn’t easy. Natty faced bullying, fear, and stares from classmates who didn’t understand her condition. But she never let it define her. “It’s the way I am,” she said simply.
Though laser treatments didn’t work, and the hair remained, so did her vibrant spirit. She excelled in school, became one of the most popular students, and was known for her love of singing, dancing, and acting.
In her teens, Natty began shaving her face—not to hide, but to embrace a new chapter of self-confidence. She later surprised the world by sharing photos with her boyfriend, smiling and in love. “It began as friendship… It was a kind of love I didn’t expect would happen to me,” she shared.
Now, Natty continues to live life proudly and authentically. She hopes her journey inspires others to love themselves just as they are—hair and all.
“Everyone is beautiful. Everyone is unique.”
