The funeral was quiet and heavy with grief. A young man lay in a white-lined coffin, taken too soon by a tragic accident. His wife stood pale and distant, clutching their two-year-old daughter dressed in black.
At the end of the ceremony, the little girl was brought to say goodbye. She stared at her father’s face, then suddenly screamed:
— Daddy, wake up! Don’t sleep! Daddy, open your eyes!
Her cries silenced the room. She reached for his face, sobbing:
— He’s scared! He said, “I’m here, help me!” He didn’t leave!
Whispers rippled through the crowd. Then, the girl said something that stopped hearts:
— He said: “They did it on purpose… My brother…”
Shock spread. The man’s brother stood frozen by the wall. A few guests exchanged uneasy glances — there had been odd signs before his death: a late-night call, strange behavior, a mysterious trip.
The girl’s mother dropped to her knees and asked gently:
— What else did Daddy say?
Through tears, the girl explained: he had come to her at night, crying and soaked, saying his brother sent him out that night… and he never came back.
The next day, the family filed a police report. Surveillance footage revealed a conversation between the man and his brother the night before the accident. When the case was reopened, investigators found the car’s brake system had been tampered with.
A two-year-old couldn’t have known that — unless someone really did come back… just long enough to be heard.
