When 23-year-old Savana Combs from Middleburg, Florida, found out she was expecting identical twins, she was thrilled. But her joy turned to uncertainty when doctors told her both babies had Down syndrome—and advised her to terminate the pregnancy.
Savana refused.
“Every heartbeat was a miracle,” she says. Despite a difficult pregnancy and early delivery at just 29 weeks, her daughters, Kenadi Rue and Mckenli, survived and thrived.
The odds? Incredibly rare—about one in two million.
