Oklahoma City police have arrested two parents in a shocking case of child abuse after their 7-year-old daughter was discovered weighing only 29 pounds, with her mouth allegedly glued shut.

Officers rushed to the home following a tip and found the child severely malnourished, with visible injuries and signs of long-term neglect. Doctors later confirmed she had been deprived of food, restrained, and subjected to emotional trauma.

The girl is now in a hospital, receiving urgent care, therapy, and nutrition. Authorities say she is expected to survive, though the emotional scars may last far longer. She is currently in state custody.

The parents remain jailed without bond, facing charges of felony child abuse, neglect, and endangering a minor. Prosecutors called the case “prolonged, intentional, and deeply disturbing.
